Andrew Carnegie

Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish-American industrialist, led the enormous expansion of the American steel industry. He later became a prominent philanthropist. Carnegie believed wealthy individuals should use their fortunes to better society. He established many public libraries and educational institutions through his extensive giving.
